Yet another road recorder from Transcend. This time the DrivePro DP200, a cousin to the recently-featured DP220.

The DP200 features a FHD camera 3MP camera with a 160 degree very wide angle – and fast f2 – lens containing seven elements (one infrared) designed to prevent fogging after heat build-up from extended recording periods. The lens' speed, angle of view and element make-up equate to a promised high image quality. Playback and live view can be screened on the 2.4-inch LCD panel while the unit features a built-in microphone and speaker.

The DrivePro 200 can start/stop recording automatically via the G-sensor which activates ‘Emergency Recording’ and automatically protects the file from recording over (records for 30 seconds prior and post incident). A manual record start option is also provided.

Transcend has designed a fully-featured app which allows WiFi file transfer, live video viewing/streaming and wireless download to a smart device whether of the iOS or Android variety. Cable file transfer can be achieved via USB 2.0 connectivity.

The included 16GB microSDHC card is capable of recording 120 minutes of Full HD video which ensures no ‘over-recording’ on top of short important content.

The DrivePro 200 comes with a windscreen suction mount and a permanent stick-on mount can be purchased separately.

The Transcend DrivePro 200 is a thoughtfully-designed and well-featured road recorder that provides versatility and promises high levels of performance.
