Yamaha has unveiled the three remaining models in its Series IV release of Adventage AV receivers

These last three models—RX-A3030, RX-A2030 and RX-A1030—complete Yamaha’s premium home theatre receiver range. ‘Building on the performance and functionality benchmarked by equivalent models in the preceding series, new advances to feature on these receivers include high-end ESS Technology DACs, music streaming via Pandora Internet radio, HDMI Zone Switching for enhanced multi-room video, MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) connectivity and Yamaha’s original suite of proprietary video processing technologies,’ said Justin d’Offay, Product Manager for Yamaha Music Australia’s AV Division.

The RX-A3030 (150-watts per channel) features a 192kHz/24-bit ES9016 SABRE32 Ultra DAC for the 7 main channels and an ES9006 Premier Audio DAC for the presence channels. For the RX-A2030 (140-watts per channel), two ES9006 DACs are utilised for all channels and one ES9006 has been used for the 7 channel RX-A1030 (rated at 90-watts per channel). ‘The move to ESS Technology DACs highlights Yamaha’s dedication to carefully selecting components for its premium line of receivers and ensures professional reproduction of audio signals from Blu-ray players and other high-definition sources including network players,’ d’Offay told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine.

In addition to Pandora, each receiver model has AirPlay, vTuner Internet radio and music streaming from DLNA devices, with Yamaha’s free AV Controller app able to deliver intuitive functionality, enhanced control, improved zone interface, customised naming of inputs and zones, and the ability to hide unused icons for user-friendly operation. Each model also offers WiFi network connectivity through the included YWA-10 adaptor and all also have an MHL-capable (Mobile High-Definition Link) HDMI port on the front panel to enable playback of Full HD video and 7.1-channel audio from compatible portable devices such as Android phones and tablets.

For multi-room entertainment, the RX-A1030 sees the introduction of HDMI Zone Switching which enables two HDMI audio/video sources to be viewed in different areas of the home simultaneously. The HDMI Zone Switching on the RX-A3030 and RX-A2030 provides the user with the choice of HDMI, analogue/digital, network or USB as the second zone source while accessing a graphical user interface (GUI) in that zone. Available now, the Yamaha RX-A3030 retails for $2,699, the RX-A2030 for $2,199, and the RX-A1030 for $1,799.
