Queensland-based loudspeaker manufacturer M8audio has released a pair of stands specifically designed for its Sweet Maxwell loudspeakers.

Although the two-way Sweet Maxell speakers were originally provided without stands, M8audio’s designer and founder, Mark Thomsen, says that he designed the stands in direct response to demand from his customers. ‘Because of strong demand to offer the Sweet Maxwell along with its own stand, we were inspired to design a stand that would complement and emphasise the beauty and character of the Sweet Maxwell speakers,’ he told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine. ‘The Sweet Maxwells have been overwhelmingly positively received by the press as well as by customers and, with its slightly tilted profile and strongly curved column, this purpose-designed Sweet Maxwell Stand offers a modern, dynamic shape which elegantly complements the Sweet Maxwell speakers and easily blends with any interior.’

The Sweet Maxwell stands include four threaded high quality spikes per stand. ‘The spikes’ eight-part construction eliminates unwanted vibrations by providing a direct ground path for each stand and ensures a very solid stance, eliminating any tendency to tip or wobble,’ says Thomsen. The spikes are height adjustable providing the perfect solution to fine-tune forward/backward and/or side tilt.

The M8audio Sweet Maxwell stands are available with satin white or Australian Blackwood real wood veneer side panels. Both options have clear coated birch end grain in a lush satin finish that brings out the natural beauty of the wood. All finish coatings are environmentally friendly with industry-leading low emissions. Custom veneers and finishes are available.

Available now, the M8audio Sweet Maxwell stands sell for $1,500 per pair.
