Convoy International, sole Australian distributor for Music Hall, has released Music Hall’s new entry-point turntable, the mmf 1.3.
‘This new model introduces Music Hall to a new audience thanks to its very competitive pricing, while those familiar with the brand’s existing, superbly engineered, high-performance line-up will immediately recognise the brand’s DNA in the mmf1.3, which has been developed on an all-new platform, different to any previous model,’ said Geoff Matthews, Convoy's Managing Director. ‘The mmf 1.3 continues the Music Hall tradition of purist design featuring belt drive, manual operation, solid MDF plinth construction, superb isolation and high-quality components throughout. A d.c. motor maintains speed stability while an aluminium tonearm with precision bearings and removable headshell and a high-quality, pre-mounted Audio-Technica cartridge ensures fidelity that is unrivalled in its class.’
The Music Hall mmf 1.3 has an electronic speed control that offers all three common platter speeds—33.33rpm, 45rpm and 78rpm—plus it also has an inbuilt switchable phono preamplifier, so there’s no need for your own amplifier to have a phono input: the mmf 1.3 will operate correctly when plugged into any standard line-level input. ‘Music Hall’s reputation for building the world’s best-value turntables is further enhanced thanks to this outstanding new model,’ Matthews told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine. ‘We look forward to welcoming a whole new group of vinyl lovers to the Music Hall family with the very affordable 1.3.’
Available now in a gloss piano black finish, and complete with tonearm, A-T phono cartridge, vibration damping platter mat, dust cover and vibration damping feet, the Music Hall mmf1.3 retails for $499.
