The JBL Charge 4 uses a newly developed driver with more cone area (50×90mm) and greater excursion than any driver previously fitted to a JBL Charge, and JBL claims the Charge 4 can not only play for up to 20 hours using its built-in rechargeable battery, but also charge any smart device connected to its charging port. The Charge 4 is also available in more colour variants than previous Charge models, adding Dusty Pink, Forest Green, and Steel White to the standard colours. As with previous versions, the JBL Charge 4 is rated with an IPX7 waterproof rating, so it can be completely submerged in fresh water.
‘Compared to others of its size, the JBL Charge 4 is one powerful speaker, with amazing sound quality,’ said Marcus Fry, of JBL Australia, ‘Our updated design provides both added durability and vibrant new colours, making it the perfect addition to any setting, whether that be in the home or outdoors. It also has JBL’s epic signature sound, so it delivers an invigorating music experience, including bass that makes the heart pound.’
The JBL Charge 4 not only includes Bluetooth circuits that can stream from two Smartphones, but also JBL’s own Connect+ circuitry, so you can wireless link the Charge 4 to any other JBL Connect+ enabled speaker for louder sound and/or better dispersion. Available now, the JBL Charge 4 retails for $199.99 (RRP).
