RØDE Microphones is making available a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No 9 in D Minor, recorded using experimental valve microphones, as a 24-bit/96kHz download.

Performed by Belgian orchestra Anima Eterna and the Australian Brandenburg Choir, with conductor Jos Van Immerseel at the Sydney Opera House, and recorded by multi-Grammy winning recording producer Tony Faulkner, The Sydney Morning Herald gave the performance a dazzling 4-1/2 out of five stars, saying, ‘Anima Eterna’s performance was revealing and rewarding… drawing one into an intricate web of sound with renewed wonder.

The audiophile-grade 24-bit/96kHz audio file is available for FREE download from rode.com/animaeterna, and the entire concert was also filmed, with the video available (on DVD, for $14.95 or on Blu-ray for $19.95) for purchase from the RØDE Store, or as a free download from Vimeo.
