The Quest Group (TQG), which manufactures AudioQuest cables and DACs, as well as Niagara power products, has purchased US-based loudspeaker manufacturer GoldenEar Technology.

Sandy Gross (pictured right, click image to enlarge), one of the founders of GoldenEar Technology will continue on at GoldenEar, along with all members of the design and engineering teams. ‘I very much want to continue with my lifelong work of creating great loudspeakers and bringing them to market,’ said Gross, 'and I think that TQG’s capabilities will help us to create and structure an even more effective market presence.’ Gross said that although GoldenEar was now part of TQG, it was not bound by that company’s marketing strategies. ‘GoldenEar will continue to slowly and methodically pursue its own unique and independent distribution strategy,’ he said.

The Quest Group is a California corporation wholly owned by AudioQuest founder and CEO Bill Low (pictured below at right, with Australian Hi-Fi Magazine editor Greg Borrowman).
