Audiofly announces new Australian distributor.
West Australian company Audiofly has appointed Aqipa Australia as its new local distributor, effective immediately. The change will not affect the retailers currently selling Audiofly, such as JB Hi-Fi. ‘Aqipa’s expertise in the lifestyle and consumer electronic markets, teamed with their impressive sales systems, made them an obvious choice to partner with us and help facilitate our rapid brand growth,’ said Matt Rowett, Audiofly's International Sales Manager. ‘While new to the Australian market they have experienced immediate success with complementary brands, and they have an extensive European operation upon which to draw a wealth of knowledge and experience for building young innovative brands such as ours.’
Aqipa Australia is a subsidiary of Aqipa Europe, which was founded by the Trapl family in partnership with Pataco AG Switzerland in 1990. Aqipa employs more than 300 staff and operates in several markets across Europe, providing sales and logistics support for more than 50 brands across seven consumer categories. Aqipa Australia, which also distributes B&O Play, UrbanEars and Master & Dynamic in this country, is headed up by Sohan Karunaratne. ‘Audiofly is a great Australian brand we’ve followed since launch, their passion and commitment to creating high-quality yet affordable products made our decision to partner with them a no-brainer,' said Karunaratne. ‘We’re looking forward to taking things to the next level in our local market and throughout our global business.’
