AudioFly’s AF 100W, which was launched at CES 2017, but has only just now become available in Australia, uses the same Bluetooth module as the AF56W BT in-ears, but because the battery and the module are housed in separate capsules, the AF 100W is able to be super lightweight, yet still provide at least five hours of playback. And if you do need more than five hours of playback, you can use a ‘Quick Charge’ option that will partially recharge the earphones in just 20 minutes (a full charge takes 60 minutes).

The original AF100 series was designed as an entry-level IEM—a studio level monitor.’ said Matt Rowett, of AudioFly. ‘This new wireless version, AF100W, retains the sound quality of the original, but adds not only wireless, but also the ability to withstand vigorous movements, making it ideal for use by fitness enthusiasts.’ The AF100W is equipped with a microphone and volume control for calls and smart device functionality and features Audiofly’s signature ‘Audioflex’ cable, which is braided with Cordura fibres, which AudioFly says helps with tangle resistance and adds: “market leading strength and durability.” Available now, the AudioFly AF 100W earphones sell for $189 (RRP).
