Audeze has announced the release of its LCD-i3, the successor to the company’s popular iSINE 20 and the ‘little brother’ to the Audeze LCD-i4. [Click on images to enlarge.]

The LCD-i3 features sonic improvements over the iSINE 20, with Bluetooth, Lightning, and standard 3.5mm connectivity included,’ said George Poutakidis of BusiSoft, which distributes Audeze in Australia. ‘By using the magnesium housing and grille design of the LCD-i4, the LCD-i3 reduces unwanted resonance and offers improved resolution over the iSINE 20.’

Included with each Audeze LCD-i3 are a Cipher Lightning Cable, Bluetooth Module, and standard 3.5mm cable. Featuring a Bluetooth 5.0 chipset with integrated support for AptX and AptX HD, Audeze’s Cipher Bluetooth Module delivers low-latency 24-bit wireless audio. ‘This provides incredible connection versatility that delivers audiophile sound quality through any device,’ said Poutakidis.

The Audeze LCD-i3 has new ‘Ear Fins’ that Audeze says are ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable and secure fit within the concha bowl of the ear. ‘For those who prefer the traditional iSINE fit, Audeze has redesigned its ear hooks so that they now curve inwards along the back of the ear to ensure superior fit for ears of all shapes and sizes,’ Poutakidis told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine. ‘What’s more all the new accessories that come included with the LCD-i3 are fully compatible with all existing Audeze in-ear headphones, so all current owners can get them simply by purchasing an iSINE accessory kit.’

Available now, the Audeze LCD-i3 sells for $1,399 (RRP).
