Acoustic Energy loudspeakers are returning to Australia, this time distributed by Final Link Audio.

The new distributor comes on the back of a change of ownership at Acoustic Energy. After more than two decades of operating under foreign ownership (the company was majority-owned by Malaysian loudspeaker manufacturer, Formosa Prosonic Industries), Acoustic Energy is now once more under British ownership, with the company headed up by Martin Harding and Neil Trucknell, who recently added Matthew Spandl, previously of Martin Audio Limited, to the design team.

After just a short time evaluating the new A100 and A300 series speakers, we are blown away on just how good these are for the price,’ said Shane Lewis of Final Link Audio. ‘They still have the English finesse we all love, but have grown up with a full-range sound suitable for all music types and listeners, and the entry level AE100 Series models all offer award-winning performance at fantastic price-points: The AE100 Bookshelf will retail under $600.’

Lewis told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine that he expects his first stock shipments to arrive in Australia in a couple of months.
