JUDGES CITATION: Aimed squarely at photographers who want to take advantage of Nikon’s full range of lenses and imaging expertise at a mid-range price, the DX format, 20.9 megapixels D7500 combines both pro and amateur features. It provides photographers with efficient control over its many parameters and imaging options that are well thought-out. The camera delivers a very good low-light performance and excellent battery life. The sensitivity range is equivalent from ISO 100 to 51,200 and continuous shooting is possible at up to 8.0 fps at full resolution. Additionally, there are numerous advanced options that allow photographers to fully explore a host of creative imaging opportunities.

Australian Camera magazine is Australia’s only member of the Technical Image Press Association. TIPA started in Europe back in 1991, and has been gradually expanding further afield so there are now members in the USA, Canada, India, China, Brazil and, of course, Australia. Camera magazine was invited to join in 2010, so this year marks our eighth attendance at the awards judging.

These judges’citations have been sub-edited to conform with our house style for elements such as measurements  and numbers. In some cases, they’ve also been slightly amended to better suit the Australian market situation or enhance readability. Sensor pixel counts are the effective number rather than that the total (which is what we usually quote in this magazine).
