JUDGES' CITATION: A full-35mm format, full-featured D-SLR aimed at enthusiasts, as well as pros who want a second compact and lightweight body, the EOS 6D Mark II has an all-new 26.2 megapixels sensor with Canon’s proven ‘Dual Pixel CMOS AF’ technology. The 6D II can deliver up to 6.5 fps continuous shooting when using its optical finder and 4.0 fps when working with its fully-articulating touchscreen LCD monitor. The EOS 6D Mark II also has Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity options, plus there’s a built-in GPS receiver. Focusing is fast and reliable thanks to the upgraded AF system using 45 cross-type measuring points.

Australian Camera magazine is Australia’s only member of the Technical Image Press Association. TIPA started in Europe back in 1991, and has been gradually expanding further afield so there are now members in the USA, Canada, India, China, Brazil and, of course, Australia. Australian Camera magazine was invited to join in 2010, so this year marks our eighth attendance at the awards judging.

These judges’citations have been sub-edited to conform with our house style for elements such as measurements  and numbers. In some cases, they’ve also been slightly amended to better suit the Australian market situation or enhance readability. Sensor pixel counts are the effective number rather than that the total (which is what we usually quote in this magazine).
