Tool are coming to Australia in February. Yes, you read that right, after almost seven years away, the larger than life alt/prog-metal quartet will return to our shores for another massive arena run.
The long overdue tour also marks the first time Aussie audiences will get to hear tracks off Tool’s latest record, Fear Inoculum. The 86-minute epic was the band’s first album in 13 years, and it immediately shot to number one on charts all over the world.
Alright so let’s recap for a moment. First tour in years off the back of a brand new record that wowed fans and critics the world over. Pretty good right? Well, it gets better.
The guys from Tool are famous for putting on one of the most dazzling live shows you’ll ever see. We’re talking lights, lasers, giant screens projecting wild looping videos that will take your mind to strange new places. It’s basically an LSD trip without all the illegal, life-threatening drug stuff.
Things kick off in Perth on the 14th February 2020, followed by shows in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The last arena tour almost sold out too. In fact, the only seats left were way up the back in the boring zone. You want to be on the floor, close to the action, deep in the sonic dreamscape that’ll bend your mind in wild, potentially terrifying, directions.
So, epic band, epic album and an extremely epic, one of a kind live show? Don’t be a fool, buy a ticket to Tool.
