With jams as huge and bangers as catchy as theirs, it was bound to happen eventually: Tassie rockers Luca Brasi are making the jump from pub crushers to theatre kings! Almost a full year on since their last national jaunt, the foursome are set to hit Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Hobart (obvs), Brisbane and Sydney this July.
The tour will mark Luca Brasi's second in Australia since the release of their breakthrough third album, If This Is All We're Going To Be. The LP dropped last April via Poison City Records, and debuted at #18 on the ARIA Charts to widespread acclaim from critics, fans and radio stations (the singles have been played damn near to death on triple j) alike.
Special guests TBA at this stage, but considering the Brasi boys brought an all-star lineup of Moose Blood and The Hard Aches on their last tour (which was, mind you, considerably smaller than this one), we've no doubt they'll be some huge names. Luca Brasi's most recent single – the beautifully slow-burning "Count Me Out" – features a sneaky drop-in from Camp Cope frontwoman Georgia Maq; if we had to make a prediction, we'd say the Melbourne emo-punks have a pretty decent chance of making the cut.
