Two years in the making, Simon Godin himself is gearing up to usher in a "radical new chapter" for Godin Guitars with his self-conceptualised and designed new acoustic guitars – the first to ever bear the Godin signature.

"The Godin brand has a strong reputation of quality and is firmly established in the guitar market," Simon says (heh). "This made the task of creating a new line of acoustic guitars that much easier. This project was my chance to create something that expressed my vision for the future of the company. These are my dream acoustic guitars.”

The line will debut later in 2019 with five models across three classes: the dreadnought-sized Metropolis (avaliable in Natural Cedar EQ, LTD Natural HG EQ and LTD Havana Burst HG EQ models), concert hall-sized Fairmount (as the CH Natural HG EQ) and parlor body-sized Rialto (as the Satina Gray HG Q-Discrete).

Premium tonewoods deck all five of the acoustic guitars, with options for rosewood or mahogany back and sides, coupled with solid spruce or cedar select tops. The Metropolis and Fairmount models are equipped with LR Baggs Anthem electronics and the Rialto is amplified with a Q-Discrete preamp.

All of the new guitars are hand-crafted entirely in Godin's native Canada.
