Currently on tour with the one and only Cog, instrumental prog-metal badasses The Omnific are rapidly making a name for themselves as one of Australia's hottest up-and-coming acts. What's more, the trio's sound is driven primarily by a double attack of slick, searing bass guitar, Matt Fack and Toby Peterson-Stewart weilding their axes like weapons of mass destruction.

Their latest slab of ear candy is "The Stoic", which dropped earlier in February to a cyclone of praise. And today, Fack and Peterson-Stewart have gifted us with an exclusive live playthrough of the cut on their basses – give it a suss below!

The Omnific are gearing up for an impossibly massive 2019, with their second EP set for release in the coming months.

Catch the bass playthrough of "The Stoic" below, then wrap your ears around the original version!
