Sony’s first true 4K laser projector, the VPL-VW760ES will be launched at an open-to-the-public event at BMC Hi-Fi in Burwood, Melbourne, on Monday 27th November.

We have been waiting with bated breath for the arrival of the new range of Sony true 4K projectors in Australia,’ said Mark Gusew of Burwood Music Centre. ‘The VPL-VW360ES and VPL-VW260ES have already been enthusiastically received by cinema fans for the past month or so and now we can demonstrate the Sony VPL-VW760ES true 4K laser projector.’

BMC Hi-Fi (Melbourne) will be hosting the launch in the beautiful Maven Room Theatre at Burwood Music Centre. The event is the official Australian launch, and will be the first public viewing of the 760ES in Australia. The event is free, and everyone interested in experiencing a truly immersive 4K HDR viewing experience and learning about 4K technology is welcome to attend.

Sony staff will be on hand to explain the technology of 4K, HDR, laser light source, projection screens, and much more,’ said Gusew ‘It will be a very informative evening that aims to dispel the myths around what true 4K is all about. Also, although the Sony 760ES has a recommended retail of $22,999, a special price will be offered to anyone attending either of the two launch days’

The launch day is Monday the 27th Nov with a follow-up demonstration evening on Wednesday 29th Nov. On both evenings the doors will open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start and light refreshments will be served.
