A further Vehicle Monitoring System device has been released by Blaupunkt in the new BP 3.0, a more comprehensive step-up from the BP 2.0.

The BP 3.0 features a high quality lens with an ultra-wide 140-degree diagonal angle of view. The 2-megapixel sensor can capture Full HD (1080p at 30fps) and HD at 720p (60/30fps) and finally at 480p (30fps).

There are a Global Positioning Tracker and G-Sensor features built-in while the latter is aided by ‘Motion Detection’ should a potential car thief be a little too close for comfort near your ride. A 2.7-inch LCD display can handle playback and menus while the loop recording (1, 3 or 5 minutes) uses up to 64GB SDHC Class 10 card (not included). A Micro USB 2.0 output is available for PC connection while a 5V/1000ma USB power port is also provided.

The BP 3.0 also features a number of innovative functions such as a 9-digit licence plate capture option and SOS alarm, auto power off/movie off and park monitoring.

The unit comes with a bracket, a car charger, a USB cable and a global positioning system tracker CD as part of the package.

The Blaupunkt BP 3.0 Vehicle Monitoring System is available throughout Australia at Blaupunkt dealers and its recommended retail price is $239.
