In addition to providing a party with sound, the V90DW can also supply the party with a light-show, thanks to built-in coloured lighting both on the unit itself, and via lamps that illuminate a back wall. By connecting via the Sony Music Centre and Fiestable app, users can adjust the lighting, and add sampler and DJ effects to sound as well as control the V90W’s many features. Various of the V90DW’s features can be controlled through Sony’s ‘Gesture Control’, by just waving your hands in the air. For more complex adjustments, Sony provides an easy-to-use touch panel user interface. It’s back-lit, so it’s easy to adjust—even in total darkness. ‘The Sony V90DW is packed with advanced technology so it can deliver high quality sound at high sound pressure levels, making it ideal for hosting big parties,’ says Bridget Mills, of Sony. ‘The V90DW supports music services including Google’s Chromecast and Spotify Connect.’ Available now, the Sony MHC-V90DW sells for $1,199 (RRP). It has built-in castor wheels to make it's 50kg weight easier to transport (see image below).
