NuForce has released a new range of home theatre components that incorporate technologies used in NuForce’s Reference Series products

There are four components in the new range: the AVP-18 AV Processor/Pre-Amplifier ($1,649), the MCP-18 multi-channel analogue pre-amplifier ($1,499), and two multi-channel power amplifiers, the MCA-20 ($3,199) and MCA-18 ($1,499).

NuForce’s AVP-18 AV Processor/Pre-Amplifier accepts only digital inputs, at up to 24-bit/192kHz, but supports all the most popular decoding formats, including TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio. There are four HDMI inputs (all HDMI 1.4 compliant with 3D, CEC and SRC support), two optical and two coaxial S/PDIF inputs. The HDMI monitor output also supports ARC, allowing the TV to be used as an additional HDMI input. Set-up options are multifarious, including 11 fully adjustable parametric equalisers per channel, and quadruple bass management settings.

The NuForce MCP-18 7.1-channel preamplifier has a high-performance, numerically-controlled analogue volume control, non-inverting op-amp output circuit, balanced circuits with no phase-delay and channels can be individually attenuated to match speaker sensitivity/positioning. RS-232 control enables easy custom installation. Nuforce’s new MCA-20 and MCA-18 are both 8-channel power amplifiers design that use eight of NuForce’s V3 mono digital amplifier modules, so it’s rated at 55-watts into 8 ohms (all channels driven). ‘NuForce has for many years concentrated its efforts in digital audio electronics, and its latest products make full use of NuForce’s many years of excellence in the digital realm,’ said Tony Ingrisano of Audio Visual Revolution, which distributes NuForce in Australia.
