Cyrus has slimmed-down its range and changed its policy on Upsampling Qx DAC modules.
‘Rather than offering the same product is a variety of formats Cyrus has slimmed-down to the optimum product within that group to deliver a more focused product range that has more flexibility and function,’ said Ian Bultitude, of Crestmore, which distributes Cyrus in Australia. ‘One example of how this works concerns the Cyrus 6 and 8 series integrated amplifiers, all of which are now available with onboard DACs so that you can connect any digital device to your Cyrus system including your SKY box, TV, PC or music system such as Apple TV or Sonos.’ Cyrus has also changed its upgrade policy where its Upsampling Qx DAC module are concerned, so that the Qx module is now available only as an upgrade. Compatible Cyrus models can still be upgraded to the Qx version, and the upgrade can be carried out at selected retailers. ‘All other upgrades, such as 6 DAC to 8 DAC, will still need to be carried out at the Cyrus factory,’ Bultitude told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine.
