Welp, it's been eight months, and we can finally start to feel our legs again after the brain-shakingly wild time that was UNIFY 2017... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND THE LINEUP FOR NEXT YEAR'S FESTIVAL IS HERE.
The two-night, three-day sweatfest is set to be headlined by two of Australia's most championed heavy acts: Parkway Drive (playing a ten-year Horizons anniversary set on night #1) and The Amity Affliction (with a career-spanning set celebrating their 15-year tenure on night #2).
Joining them is a veritable Noah's Ark of heavy music royalty, including, to name just a few, UK metalcore faves Architects (with UNIFY being their only Australian performance in 2018 – unless another tour is announced later in the year), homeland 'core heroes Polaris, pop-punk gems Four Year Strong, With Confidence and Knuckle Puck, post-hardcore hell-raisers Belle Haven, Introvert and Dear Seattle, and hardcore stalwarts Hellions, Void Of Vision and Knocked Loose.
It's worth nothing that the amount of bands with gender-diverse talent has increased from the 2017 lineup – this time around, we'll catch pop-punks Tonight Alive, metalcore maniacs Make Them Suffer and Cursed Earth, hardcore hellions Outright and post-hardcore powerhouse The Beautiful Monument. It's not much, but hey, all of those bands are bloody killer and we can't wait to let loose to them.
UNIFY 2018 will go down at its usual home of Tarwin Lower, VIC from January 12th to 14th. Tickets are on sale now for $218+BF (and as organisers have had to repeatedly specify, no, "+BF" doesn't mean your boyfriend gets in for free), but if the last few years have given us any clue, all 7,500 will sell out insanely fast.
