If this September's BIGSOUND showcase wasn't Clash Central enough as is, organisers have sneakily thrown another handful of future stadium-fillers to the lineup.

Including triple j Unearthed winners Carmouflage RoseHoliday Party and Nice Biscuit, the new drop lists 14 huge names set to smash things up across the 18 announced venues. Local legends Horror My Friend and Oh Mercy should have no troubles bringing their crowds off their feet, and the same can be said for the interstate up-and-comers currently turning heads in Press Club, The VANNS and Feels.

Originally touting a final lineup of over 130, the BIGSOUND 2017 lineup has now eclipsed the 140 mark – and with extra shows and pre-fest parties still to be announced, we're fully expecting that number to grow at least a little bit more before the month's end.

BIGSOUND has a storied history of propping up some of Australia's now most revered bands and artists. Just last year, we caught Tash Sultana, Polish Club and Alex Lahey play to crowds knocking under 100 - today, you could bet your bottom dollar on any shows they put their names to selling out. That's not to mention acts like Courtney Barnett, Flume and A.B. Original, who all got their feet in the door at a BIGSOUND of Septembers past.

Further incentivising acts to make a lasting mark on the industry, this year's event will see the $100K Levi's Music Prize return. The prize pool will be split up into four $25K nuggets of career-fuelling gold, and distributed to acts that present the most potential as Australia's future stadium fillers.

The 2016 BIGSOUND music conference and showcase drew over 7,000 punters to Brisbane's Fortitude Valley. With the event continuing to boom in popularity, organisers have announced a reconfigured format that will see each band perform twice over the course of the four day-and-night (expanded from previous years' three) jaunt.

BIGSOUND 2017 will return to Fortitude Valley from September 5th through 8th. Tickets to the full showcase are on sale now for $85, with single-night passes running a tight $45. Delegate passes are also available for those wishing to go hands-on with speaker conferences, insider workshops and a plethora of other activities - those cost $470 for members and $570 for non-members. And while that might sound like a pretty penny, trust us, it's worth every cent.
