‘Yamaha Music Australia is excited to announce the introduction of its new flagship Receiver, the RXZ11, offering the most advanced AV technology ever seen,’ said Yamaha Product Manager Dale Moore. ‘The RXZ11 consolidates the superior audiovisual reproduction that industry expects from Yamaha with support for the latest HD formats including Blu-Ray and HD DVD.’
Equipped with 11.2 channels, the RXZ11 adds front and rear presence speakers to traditional configurations which are activated by invoking Yamaha’s new Cinema DSP HD3 mode. Moore says the additional speakers create a vertical aspect to the sound, turning an otherwise flat soundstage into a three-dimensional audio sensation.
The new receiver incorporates HDMI V1.3a to ensure bandwidth to handle the latest in visual reproduction including 1080p resolution and more than one billion colours. Coupled with support for a 24Hz refresh rate, to match current Blu-Ray material, Yamaha’s RXZ11 will also upscaling low-res images to 1080p full HD. It also offers full support for the latest audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus/True HD and DTS High Resolution Audio/Master Audio. Power output is rated at 7×140-watts plus 4×50-watts if all eleven channels are used. If not, channels can be re-assigned so increase power further. The new RXZ11 also has extensive multi-zoning capabilities. According to Moore, it will power up to five zones with independent sources including two zones with visual content. ‘The RXZ11 is essential to high-end installations,’ he said, ‘and also supports Network Receiver features, enabling access to Internet Radio, music stored on a PC or MusicCAST server and with the included YDS-10S dock, owners can view iPod music, images and video files in the high quality reproduction they deserve, using our unique Graphical User Interface (GUI) that lets them conveniently browse through via album, artist, genre or location.’
The Yamaha RXZ11 is fitted with a Compressed Music Enhancer (CME) that Yamaha says will ensures your compressed music sounds rich and full-bodied as well as with an upgraded version of Yamaha’s YPAO Sound Optimisation multi-point measurement and standing wave reduction. Yamaha expects to release the RXZ11 in February 2008.
